How do I link my account to Wargaming.net ID?

If you have a demo (guest) account or an account registered via Apple ID, Game Center, Google, Steam, Nintendo Switch, Microsoft, or Facebook for World of Tanks Blitz, you may want to link this account to the Wargaming.net ID system to secure the access to your game progress.

Linking via the game client

The account has neither an email nor a password

  1. While in the Garage, click the Settings button in the lower-left corner.
  2. On the Settings screen (General tab), click the green Update Account button in the yellow frame. If you don't see the button, please check the sections below.

  3. Enter your email address, password, and verification code (captcha). Then click Send.

  4. Go to your email inbox and open the email with the activation code. If you cannot find this email in your Inbox, check your Spam folder. Enter the activation code in the corresponding field and click Send.

  5. You have linked your account to Wargaming.net ID (WG.ID). Now you can use the email and password to log in to the game.

  6. Now we recommend you to secure your account. On the right part of the Settings screen (General tab), click Account Management and then Go to account.

  7. An external browser will open and you will be redirected to the Wargaming.net website.
    Here, in Account Security Settings, you can link your account to your telephone number, enable two-factor authentication, and more.

The account has an email but doesn't have a password

  1. While in the Garage, click the Settings button in the lower-left corner.
  2. On the Settings screen (General tab), you'll see your email.

  3. On the right part of that same screen click Account management and then Add password.

  4. An external browser will open and you will be redirected to the Wargaming.net website. Here, in Account Security Settings, you can add a password to your account, as well as a telephone number and more.

  5. Once a password is linked, you can use the email and password to log in to the game.

Linking via Wargaming Account management (web portal)

You can link your account to the Wargaming.net ID system without using the game client. This option is available for players with accounts registered via Google, Steam, Microsoft, and Facebook.

  1. Go to the Wargaming.net website and click the Log in button.

  2. Click the button corresponding to the social media profile you used when registering for World of Tanks Blitz and sign in (you may need to confirm access to the social media profile data).

  3. If no email is linked to your account yet, you'll be asked to link an email and password as soon as you are successfully logged in.
    Once the email and password are linked, you can start using them to log in to the game (see point 7 below).
    Otherwise—follow steps 4–6 below.
  4. Click your username in the upper-right corner. In the menu that opens, click the Account Management link.

  5. On the main page of Account Management, in the Account Security Settings block, click the button for adding a password.

  6. In the window that opens, enter a secure password, confirm it, and click Add.

  7. You have linked your account to Wargaming.net ID (WG.ID). Now you can use the email and password to log in to the game.
