The in-battle communication system allows you to exchange information with allies without spending time writing messages in the battle chat.
The main key for using in-battle communication is "T". You can use it to quickly interact with the game map, allies, enemies, or bases.
Pressing the key will instantly send a message to allies. Pressing and holding the key will open a radial shortcut menu that contains additional options.
You can configure the in-battle communication system to your liking. Just go to the game settings, open the Control tab, and scroll down to the Team Communication section.
There are pre-set direction markers on the map. They mark key areas on the map and help you decide the flank where you want to fight the enemy. During the pre-battle countdown, you can tell your allies where you will be going.

After the battle starts, you can create your own markers for any point on the map in addition to the existing ones.
The markers show how many allies will go to the same area. This helps coordinate team actions and understand who does what in battle. As a result, you will be able to attack more effectively and coordinate your efforts with allies.
You can easily interact with all objects on the map, including vehicles, buildings, bushes, etc. Instead of pinging sectors on the minimap and writing messages in the chat, simply aim your camera at the object and set a marker. It will be shown to every ally on the map and on the minimap.
You can interact not only with vehicle models but also with their markers, which are now interactive. You can mark vehicles behind cover or outside your direct line of sight thanks to that.

Each interactive marker has a dot above it that shows it can be interacted with. You can add context to the marker, such as the commands Attention to position! or Driving to position! instead of simply pinging a sector. Any player can join your marker. Some markers will show the number of allies who confirmed their readiness and want to help you.
On the screenshot below, the marker on the left shows that 3 allies confirmed their readiness.
To activate your mouse cursor and interact with the minimap, press and hold the Ctrl key.
Left-clicking the minimap will select a point to attract your allies' attention to it. Right-clicking will show that you are going to move to the selected point.
SPGs have their own rules for interacting with the minimap. While in Arcade Aim, left-clicking the minimap will send an Attention to position! command, but in Artillery Aim, it will result in an Aiming here command.
Right-clicking the minimap in any type of aim will move the SPG reticle to the selected area.
The Driving to position! marker is not available to SPGs in any type of aim.

Bases on the minimap and in battle will have special interactive icons that are available on the battlefield even through obstacles. Using these icons, you can send commands to capture or defend a base.

In the adaptive command menu, the lower two commands, Help! and Reloading!, are fixed.
The upper part of the radial menu changes depending on the object you are interacting with.

During the battle, allies can send you personal messages asking you to retreat or help, or just thanking you. You can react to these requests quickly with the Z key (by default).
The picture below shows the table of quick responses for different types of messages.

You can avoid spam thanks to a set of rules:
- Any sent message has a delay for a repeated use. This delay equals to 5 seconds for global commands and 2 seconds for personal messages (3 seconds if you are sending them to the same player). The only exception is the Attention to... marker that can be placed by one player 3 times in a short period of time before being blocked.
There can be a maximum of 3 Attention to... markers on the map set by one or several players. - When placing a new marker, the previous one set by that player will disappear. If no one confirmed a set marker, it will disappear in 6 seconds.
- A player can receive no more than one personal response request in 15 seconds and no more than one voice notification from personal messages in 10 seconds.
You can also disable communications with a certain player using the options Add to Blacklist and Block for This Battle in the commands list.
